Membership Application
The North Carolina Warehouse Association (NCWA) was formed in 1965 by a group of public warehouse operators who joined together to positively influence legislation affecting the public warehouse industry and their customers. The result of their efforts was the Freeport Act which exempted goods stored in public warehouses from inventory taxes…at the time, a huge advantage to our industry.
The group saw benefits in meeting together to discuss various issues, so they continued to hold meetings twice a year. Today the NCWA is comprised of North Carolina’s most successful 3rd party logistics companies who continue to affect positive benefits for our industry.
The NCWA offers:
- Semi-annual meetings (Spring and Fall). These meetings are informal gatherings where we meet to discuss pertinent topics that will help us operate more successful businesses. Occasional guest speakers offer insight into current events that might affect our industry, but the heart of the meeting is our “bull session” where a wide variety of relevant issues are discussed.
- Networking. You will be included in the circle of North Carolina’s finest 3rd party warehouse operators who are willing to share ideas to improve your company’s productivity and gain new business.
- Website. Your company will be listed on our website, putting your business’s name in front of new potential customers.
Annual dues are $100 per company. If you are a new member, please be sure to include a completed application when you submit your dues. You can make your check payable to NCWA and mail to: 3009 Thurston Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27406.
